Hi + Welcome!

I’m so happy that you are here. I’m excited to bring you an extra day in this series, called Prep Day, so you can get ready for tomorrow and really get the most out of this week. Prep Day is important because it sets you up for success for the next seven days.

Let’s dive in!

Most people would agree that we are not our best selves when we are tired. Most people would also agree, however, that true rest is easier said than accomplished.

Tomorrow we’re going to start with the basics with a really fun ritual I know you’re going to love. But, I’m going to tell you about it now so that you have time to gather the ingredients you’ll need. Here they are:

  • A splash of water

  • A dollop of coarse salt

  • A squeeze of lemon

Too easy!

You’ll find out more tomorrow, but make sure you have those ingredients on hand and 30 minutes of uninterrupted time. Yes, a full half hour of alone time, preferably in the evening! How blissful does that sound?

Let’s dive into tonight’s prep work. This will help set you up for success tomorrow, throughout the week, and beyond. Grab your journal and choose a quiet spot to listen to the following meditation.

Visualization Exercise - Your Goal Is A Given

Think about what you want to achieve. Is it a specific goal? Or are you simply looking to cultivate the ability to choose calm? That’s a great place to start too.

Whatever it is, imagine that you are guaranteed to succeed. Whether it’s a new mindset or something more specific. Whether you’ll reach this goal in a week, or be on your way to something bigger — I want you to breathe in the knowledge that you will achieve it without a doubt.

Sit with the feeling of accomplishment for five silent breaths and contemplate the following question: is there a word that best describes how achieving my goal will make me feel? Let’s sit together in silence for a moment as you anchor yourself in that word.

Now let’s focus on how you are going to nourish yourself along the way. Ask yourself the following question: how will I take care of myself as I move towards my goal? Take five breaths now in silence.

My goal is guaranteed. The hard part is taken care of. All that’s left to do is nourish myself along the way. What do I need to do every day to make sure I arrive at the future version of myself feeling strong, calm, present, and fulfilled?

Let’s finish this meditation with ten silent breaths.

Well done.

Contemplation Questions:

- What am I most looking forward to about achieving my goals?

- How will it make me feel?

- What are three actions I will take every day to nourish myself along the way?

- Can I commit to doing these three things for one month as I move towards this inevitable outcome?

Good work. You’re off to a great start. See you tomorrow and don’t forget the lemons!
