Hi + Welcome Back! Let’s dive into today’s work.

Most people would agree that we are not our best selves when we are tired. Most people would also agree, however, that true rest is easier said than accomplished. Think about the choice you made yesterday. The commitment you made to yourself about how you’re going to frame your choices. About how you want your choices to feel. Will they be beautiful, calm, grounded, supported and peaceful?

Imagine that you are guaranteed to succeed in the practice of ‘choice choosing’. You’re going to rock this ritual! You’re going to achieve this new way of choosing — without a doubt. 

I want you to sit with the feeling of accomplishment for five silent breaths. (Let’s do that now.) Now let’s focus on how you are going to nourish yourself along the way. Ask yourself the following question: how will I take care of myself as I move towards my goal? Take five breaths now in silence. 

Repeat this to yourself as many times as you need to: my goal is guaranteed. The hard part is taken care of. All that’s left to do is nourish myself along the way. Here comes the fun part: what do I need to do every day to make sure I arrive at the future version of myself feeling nourished? Let’s finish this meditation with ten silent breaths.

Grab those lemons!

Gather those ingredients from yesterday — lemons, salt, and a splash of water — and mix together to make body scrub. Your homework is to take a bath or shower tonight and apply the scrub to your whole body as you contemplate the ways in which you will nourish yourself as you move into the next best version of yourself. Think about the beautiful choices you will make. And lastly, think about how worthy you are of rest, nourishment, and care.
